Student Exhibition “Photographs in the Parlor”

In a joint project, “Photographs in the Parlor,” of the Holocaust Victims Welfare Foundation in Israel, the Veteran Citizens Department of the Jerusalem Municipality, the “Ruach Tova” Association and the Dean of Students. Holocaust survivors were documented in their living rooms.

Eight students documented survivors using two methods: Visual and textual. The survivors were photographed using stills cameras in their homes throughout the city. Their narratives about their lives during and after the war were recorded in writing and on video film.

The exhibition was displayed in the in the Municipal Gallery in the city.  The opening event took place in the presence of the Deputy Mayor, Yael Entebbe, Dana Avraham, CEO of the Holocaust Victims Welfare Fund in Israel and the College President, Prof. Bertold Fridlender.
