After the early settlement outside of the city walls and Jerusalem's development westward, the major axis continued to extend along the Jaffa Road. The Street of the Prophets was considered a "backstreet," becoming the location for foreign consulates, hospitals, and private estates. These all stood facing, or in the shadow of, the public, local, and wholesome "King's Road."

The tension still lingering in the geographical environs of the Gallery resonates an ancient conflict between the king's authority and the prophet's speech challenging the kingdom's norms and customs, often subversive and sometimes showing the ruler the correct path to take.
The current exhibition explores the timeless alternative the prophets' way offers the king's regime.
