The four-day Global Young Leaders Summit hosted 600 students from leading universities and colleges from around the world during which they assumed the role of Ambassadors and UN representatives to discuss global issues. Students were challenged to learn the importance of balancing national interests with the needs of the international community while also learning about the power and limitations of international negotiation. The Summit aimed to enhance the students' public speaking, negotiation, team work, stress management, and networking skills.
The Israeli delegation was awarded the top prize for their excellent presentation of the UN committee procedures.
Danya Avner commented, "I felt l was representing the Jewish people and the State of Israel in this world student project which can undoubtedly enhance the young generation's perspective toward local and global issues".
