Hadassah College alumni photographers, Sharon Dery and Roy Greenberg are among the finalists in the Sony World Photography Awards 2014. 

Dery spent the last decade in fashion photography and music, and last year returned to art photography. Greenberg graduated just last year from Photographic Communications.

Photos were submitted this year from 139,544 people from across 166 countries. Dery, who submitted a series of photographs called "Italy," was nominated in the category of tourism photography professionals, and Greenberg submitted a series called "Israeli Landscape." The names of the winners in the various categories will be announced at a gala to be held on April 30 in London, and in May the pieces will be displayed at the Somerset House.
