The Department of Photographic Communications organized a seminar on "Portrait of a Politician," along with press photographers and experts in branding and design.

Participants in the seminar:

Vardi Kahana and Reli Avrahami: Portrait Photography - Press and Magazine
Tomer Appelbaum and Michal Fattal: Press Photography
Amir Cohen: Branding and Design
Other participants included students from the Department of Photographic Communications, guests from the College and outside visitors.

Press photographers, magazine photographers and staff from branding and design gave presentations on their experience with photographic portraits of politicians. The speakers referred to commissioned work, the quality of relations with the politician during the shoot, whether it was official or in a private home, and the distinction between commissioned work and personal photos taken during an official project. Michal Fattal, for example (photos of Netanyahu in black and white), was the official photographer for Netanyahu's campaign, and at the same time worked on a personal project in black and white. These are the kinds of rare moments that can occur during daily meetings with a politician.
