A project to upgrade Hanevi'im Street began with moving the fence on the lawn at the College. The College will give up the northern part of the lawn area, as part of the project.
The existing historic stone fence is a "designated landmark" so the process will be carried out in accordance with preservation guidelines. The fence's stones will be carefully dismantled and rebuilt with the help of an architectural plan. The new position of the fence will be placed about four meters inside the lawn. According to the plan, a new guard booth will also be assigned at the corner of Hanevi'im Street and Rav Kook.
The project is a joint collaboration with the Jerusalem Municipality and renovations are expected to take about four or five months to complete.
