Last week the National Convention took place at the Haifa University on behalf of the Israel UN Model Organization. 15 of the students of the college that take part in this project participated in the convention that included over 200 Israeli and foreign students from the leading universities and colleges in Israel such as: The Hebrew University, The Interdisciplinary Center, Tel Aviv University, The Academic College of Tel Aviv-Yaffo, Bar Ilan and more.

The convention this year included discussions on many and varied subjects such as the Syrian refugee issues in Europe, the Yemen political crisis, the ISIS issue and the drug industry in developing countries – during which our students represented the foreign policies of different countries and proficiency, determination and abilities standing in front of impressive audiences as part of the learning process in our club. During the convention, a paper of one of our students in the club went up for a general  vote and was received with a majority of votes – which was a tribute to the hard work and readiness that she came with to the convention. We are very proud of the fast progress of our pupils and are looking forward to the next convention to take place in April.

The UN Model project takes place in the framework of the activities of the dean of students, beyond the framework of formal studies. Students that participate in this are from varied spheres of the college, that convene once a week for 3 hours for study sessions led by the students Gal Malka and Gal Ben Ami students of politics and communications, and Dan Sharon – A student of the Hebrew University, a representative of the Israeli UN Model Organization.
