Department of Optometry in the Hadassah Academic College is opening an eye clinic for children in order to address the issue of shortage of eye doctors in the public health sector. The eye clinic will be designed for children of all ages and will operate under the direction of Dr. Karen Handler, an ophthalmologist and children specialist.

Eye examinations will be carried out by the students of the Department of Optometry under close supervision of Dr. Hendler and a team of optometrists. The clinic will work once a week, on Wednesday mornings. This clinic can address a shortage of eye doctors for children in the community. The cost of the tests is 30 NIS per family per year.
