“Kehilla Lemaan” is an initiative that deals in improving the lives of the residents and their surroundings, through massive and one time jobs by students of the college, together with residents and volunteers. The initiative was born and took shape in the framework of the “Above and beyond” – plan for social initiative of the college, and in its framework, of already three years, once a month, the students that are members in this initiative go from place to place and leave it organized and flourishing for the community.
Lately the roof of the Klal building has been renovated together with the Muslala organization. Students helped with the renovation (painting, organizing etc.) in order for the venue to turn into a communal center for the residents in the coming spring and a center for communal gardening.
An additional activity that has been done with the opening of this new year was in the Rasco park. The students renovated the path that had almost disappeared , and created a foundation that would keep it for a long time. In addition, they planted an adult plum tree and turned an abandoned dirty sand box into a fenced flowerbed. During the whole activity, children from the neighborhood came to help and participate.
