The Photographic Communications Faculty at the College is being hosted at the Edmond de Rothschild Center and is exhibiting student projects. The projects presented are the fruits of the 2nd year students' research work under the mentorship of Yuval Tabul and Eddie Gerald. In addition and alongside them, two works of Katya Borindin and Dor Kedmi, fresh graduates of the faculty, which are also the fruits of long-term documentary research, characterized by a better awareness of maturity and professionalism, will also be exhibited.
Curators: Eddie Gerald and Yuval Tabul.
This gamut of different and complex works enables a view of:
- The extensive profuse range of the documentary world in 2016.
- The multitude of subjects that occupy Israeli society and the photographers living in it.
- The wealth and visual complexity activated by the photographer and that creates means for accessibility, influence and enticement between the work and the viewer.
- The range of emotions, experiences, knowledge and understanding, which call the viewer into action or to internalize.
Sometimes a photograph is evidence waiting for other days. For perusing again, for new historians, for emotional distance. However, the documentary photograph is a key that we have to continue creating, exhibiting, perusing, shout about and, sometimes, to safeguard it until reaching the door to be opened.
The exhibition will open on August 11, 2016 at 7 p.m.
The Edmond de Rothschild Center, 101 Rothschild Ave, Tel Aviv.
The exhibition will be open from August 11, 2016 to September 9, 2016.
