Last week there was a finale meet up of the intern group “The next thing” of The Center of Career Management. The 14 interns are students from the Arabic society studying in the Department of Enterprise Management, specializing in health systems and human resources. The course that accompanied the interns was a joint course with the “Kav mashve” organization and dealt with opportunities, challenges and preparation for the work world the day after the internship and developing skills: Writing CV’s and successfully doing job interviews and evaluation centers.
This is how our students summarized the internship:
Ala Ushu
An intern at the family health center in Shuafat – East Jerusalem
“During the internship I learned how to be accurate, stand on my own and deal with groups of clients while learning their family and medical needs”.
Fatma Nagam
Intern at the Sharei Zedek Hospital
“I arrived at the internship with lots of enthusiasm but very quickly I bumped into the resistance of the patients. Over time I learned how to act in these situations and how to improve my conduct with them. Today, everyone cooperates”.
Nadin Git
Intern at the Center for Employment Placement in East Jerusalem
“From my internship I mainly learned how to be professional with everything I do.
I learned a lot from the staff at the center and this helped me understand what I should do and is suitable for me in regards to the employment market”.
Susan Dais
Intern at the Sharei Zedek Hospital
“During the internship I learned to create connections with my colleagues and I was lucky to get to know a team and patients from different cultures. I am very pleased that the person in charge of the ward recommended me for working at Sharei Zedek after the internship”.
Thank you to Nur Aladin Abu Ramiz, from the employment center of the Arabic society, for the investment and hard work that contributed to the success of the program.
