This week, five Arab students of Optometry were awarded scholarships of NIS 4,000 each provided by the Israeli Optinice Ltd. optical retail chain.  The awards ceremony was held in the presence of College President Prof. Bertold Fridlender; Prof. Ariela Gordon-Shaag, Chair of the Department of Optometry and Vision Science; and Mr. Mustafa Daka, Founder and CEO of Optinice.  Mr. Daka is a graduate of the Department of Optometry.  This is the second year that he has provided scholarships to deserving and qualified students.  The Optinice chain was established 7 years ago and is soon to open its 20th store in the north of Israel.
