Stav Mendelowitz is a student in the Department of Inclusive Industrial Design at Hadassah Academic College. Her final project was presented at the 2018 graduates' exhibition entitled “Use Scenarios".

The Department's graduate exhibit reflected the department's focus on people, their needs, and their lifestyles. The Department aims to demonstrate the perpetual search for concepts while respecting both the creative process and its results. The graphic network reflects the design processes as a conceptual framework into which much can be cast and, through it, creativity is translated into applicable and aesthetic solutions.

“Boten” is the name of the product that Stav created, a safe system for common sleeping for infants from birth to 10 months.

Stav comments:

“To my surprise, as part of the study that I conducted, I discovered that the "family bed" has become more and more popular over recent years. Some parents sleep with their children in common sleeping only from time to time, some prefer to sleep with the children only during the first years and some have fallen asleep unintentionally with their children on the bed or even on a sofa. Common sleeping could be dangerous if cautionary measures are not adopted. Therefore, it is not recommended by various bodies including the Ministry of Health though there are many positive aspects to common sleeping."
