Hadassah Academic College is proud of all of its graduates from the Departments of Biotechnology and Medical Laboratory Sciences, who presented their research studies in a range of fields at the undergoing study in Israel, at the “ILANIT” Conference 2020 – The Society of Experimental Biology in Israel, which took place last week in Eilat.

• Ortal Yanko Cohen - who is investigating a genetic correction in stem cells of the blood system for the treatment of immunodeficiency diseases. At Bar Ilan University with Dr. Eyal Hendel.
• Dr. Esther Vaknin Joene - Development of a new drug against the cytomegalovirus HCMV. In the laboratory of Prof. Dana Wolf and Prof. Amos Panet from The Hebrew University.
• Maria Gimelschein Vatkin - Damage to factors that regulate oxygen deficiency for treating solid growths. In lab of Prof. Alik Honigman at the Hebrew University (Prof. Honigman is also the head of the Department of Biotechnology at HAC).
• Naomi Zeltzman - adapted medicine for delaying glioblastoma cerebral tumors using androgen receptor blockers In the laboratory of Dr. Iris Lavon, Hadassah Medical Center - Ein Kerem.
• Ayela Walman - investigating fatty liver diseases. At the laboratory of Dr. Tovit Rosenzweig, Ariel University.
• Maria Naama - the developmental mechanism of inflammatory bowel disease. In the laboratory of Dr. Shai Bell, Bar Ilan University.
• Warod Sarhan - Diabetes and regenerative diseases. In the laboratory of Dr. Ron Piran, Bar Ilan University.
• Leah Assulin - the delay of Natural Killer cells of the immune system by bacteria in a cancerous environment. In the laboratory of Ofer Mandelboim. The Hebrew University.
• Bar Dagan - who is investigating the fetal development of the eye in mammals. In the laboratory of Prof. Ruth Ashri Padan, Tel Aviv University.
• Tamar Mordecai - who is investigating the effect of an oxygen deficiency in breast cancer tumors. In the laboratory of Prof. Itai Ben Porat, The Hebrew University.
• Becky Berdenstein-Walad - the study involves pulmonary idiopathic fibrosis disease (IPF) and the effect of drugs on the process of cellular differentiation. With Prof. David Shitrit and Dr. Gali Epstein at Tel Aviv University.
• Hadas Fahima and Sayif Mansour - who are investigating the cells that effect the development of an allergy. With Prof. Francesca Levy Shefer.
• Zina Darawsha - the cell population that affects the development of diabetes. In the lab of Prof. Yuval Dor, The Hebrew University.
• Ayelet Peretz - Epigenetic mapping of human body cells. In the lab of Prof. Yuval Dor, The Hebrew University.
• Yektarina (Keti) Fried - Stem cell implants as a therapeutic option for the genetic Creutzfeldt–Jakob disease. Advisor - Prof. Ruth Gabison, The Hebrew University.
• Orly Binyamin - treatment with the nano metric formulation of pomegranate seed oil for preventing of memory deterioration in Alzheimer’s disease. With Prof. Ruth Gabison, The Hebrew University.
• Or Alphi - Demonstrating the entry of cytomegalovirus CMV using a tissue culture of the upper respiratory system. In the virology laboratory of Prof. Amos Panet and Prof. Dana Wolf at The Hebrew University.
