JMC graduates Sigal Warzev and Shira Meyuchas from the Biotechnology Department honored the memory of Sigal’s beloved partner, IDF soldier Raz Abulafia z”l, who fell during combat in Gaza. They discovered a new bacteriophage at the Israeli Phage Bank, naming it "KpRaz1" in Raz’s honor. Their innovative research continues Raz’s legacy by offering potential life-saving treatments against antibiotic-resistant infections​.
