BA Program in Communication Disorders

Goals

The program provides students with a comprehensive foundation in communication disorders, as well as the academic and clinical expertise needed to become skilled audiologists and speech-language pathologists, ready to meet the demands of the evolving job market.

General Description

The BA program is a full-time 3½-year program. Each week, students engage in both theoretical and practical classes. The curriculum includes not only core and advanced studies in audiology and speech pathology but also emphasizes the development of academic competencies and soft skills. Practical training throughout the program prepares students for diverse career opportunities in hospitals, clinics, and educational settings, with an emphasis on evidence-based clinical practice.

  • Hearing sciences
  • Language and speech sciences
  • Health sciences
  • Social and behavioral sciences
  • Research
  • Clinical education in audiology
  • Clinical education in language and speech pathology

Each cohort has an academic advisor who monitors the students’ progress and provides the support to ensure their success.

Admission Requirements

Students can be admitted on the basis of their matriculation grades, their scores on the psychometric exam or their composite matriculation/psychometric score.
