 Our vision is to cultivate the next generation of healthcare leaders equipped with the knowledge and skills to manage complex healthcare systems effectively. Our goal is to prepare students for impactful roles in health management by focusing on both theoretical knowledge and practical applications.

Areas of activity

The department is deeply involved in a wide range of research activities, reflecting the diverse expertise of its faculty members. Areas of focus include healthcare policy and management, digital transformation, medical education, and the exploration of ethical dilemmas and conflicts within healthcare systems. Faculty members actively collaborate with international partners, contributing to innovative research and publishing in leading academic journals. These research endeavors enrich the department’s academic environment and provide students with valuable opportunities to participate in meaningful projects, preparing them for advanced roles in the evolving healthcare landscape.

The Department offers the only BA program in Health Systems Management in Jerusalem and its surrounding areas, emphasizing the unique characteristics and challenges of healthcare in the region. Students benefit from focused courses such as managing health funds using case studies of HMOs. The program encourages practical learning through partnerships with local healthcare organizations and access to a dedicated Career Management Center. It is designed for working students, with classes scheduled three days a week.

The Department is a proud member of the European Health Management Association (EHMA), fostering international collaboration and recognition.

 

Career Opportunities

Graduates are prepared for managerial positions in healthcare organizations, including hospitals, clinics, and HMOs. Many alumni pursue advanced degrees in nursing or health administration, with a fast-track option available for nursing in just 2½ years.
