Message from the Department Head

Our vision is to provide our students with a solid academic foundation in accounting and economics, coupled with the professional and practical tools which are required for qualification as certified public accountants and enable continuous professional development.

Areas of activity

The main areas of study include: Financial accounting, Managerial accounting, Auditing (particularly of information systems), Law and Taxation, Macro-economics and Micro-economics. We also teach statistics, Econometrics, and Mathematics at the level required of professional economists. Our program complies with the requirements of the Israeli Auditors' Council.

The department offers a well-defined path to CPA qualification. The emphasis on practical and professional tools enables students to start their practicum in leading accounting firms after concluding their second year in the program.

Career Opportunities

About 65% of our graduates continue their professional career as certified public accountants. Another 20% continue their professional career in the public sector (mostly in the Tax Authority). The rest find in-demand positions in the financial sector.
