    Dr. Ruth Soffer-Elnekave (Ph.D.)

    Ruth Soffer-Elnekave is a doctoral student in the School of Social Work in the University of Minnesota. Her dissertation explores Social work practice in areas of Intractable Conflict, specifically Jewish-Israeli social workers’ professional life stories in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and their perspectives about the professions’ roles in addressing the effects of the conflict and promoting peace.
    Practiced in child welfare services and foster care for many years, specifically in developing culturally sensitive foster services for the Arab population in Israel. Group therapist, supervisor, and researcher in areas of child welfare, cultural sensitivity and the social work profession and development.

    Yoav Levinstein (M.A)

    Yoav Levinstein is a clinical social worker and psychotherapist recently retired from the IDF Health department.

    Completed his Bachelor’s degree in Social Work in Tel Aviv university.

    He received his Master’s degree from Bar Ilan University, writing his thesis about “Secondary traumatization among wives of IDF combat soldiers, the contribution of Ambiguous loss”.

    Yoav is currently a PhD candidate in Bar Ilan School of social work. 

    His dissertation is about PTSD symptom trajectories among combat veterans, specifically studying the impact of Moral Injury on these trajectories.

    Yoav completed the psychoanalytic psychotherapy program in Bar Ilan University.

    His scientific interests include Combat PTSD, Moral injury, Resilience strategies and Mental fitness.

  • Yosay Unterman

    Yosay Unterman (M.S.W.)

    Teacher

    Yosay Unterman graduate from the Hebrew University his first and second degree in social work, his thesis dealt with the merger of welfare organizations. Over the years he has worked as a social community worker on a local and national level. Yosay, guided trained and directed for a decade the field training of social community students at the Hebrew University. Yosay was the CEO of an N.g.o the Israeli epilepsy association. In recent years Yosay is an adviser in dozens of social services throughout the country in community work and poverty.
